History

Lymington Sprites was founded in 1972 by a group of local parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football. The club started with just one team, but has since grown to over 20 teams.

The club has a strong tradition of developing young players. Many former Sprites players have gone on to play professional football, including Matt Ritchie, who currently plays for Newcastle United.

Current teams

Lymington Sprites currently has teams for players aged 7-15. The teams play in a variety of leagues, including the New Forest & District Youth Football League and the Bournemouth Youth Football League.
