History
Manutd Football Club was founded in 1994 by a group of young people who were fans of the English club Manchester United. The club's name is a combination of the words "Manutd" and "Conakry".
The club quickly rose through the ranks of Guinean football and won promotion to the Ligue 1 in 1999. The club has since been a regular in the top flight, but has never won the league title.
Manutd Football Club's most successful period was in the early 2000s, when they won the Coupe de Guinée in 2001 and 2002. The club also reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2002, where they lost to Étoile du Sahel of Tunisia.
