The league is divided into two divisions, Division One and Division Two. The top two teams in Division One at the end of the season are promoted to the North West Women's Regional League, while the bottom two teams in Division One are relegated to Division Two. The top two teams in Division Two at the end of the season are promoted to Division One, while the bottom two teams in Division Two are relegated to the Greater Manchester Women's Challenge League.
