Merseyrail Girls Football Team is an ambitious women's football team based in Liverpool. They are currently playing in the North West Women's Regional Football League, Premier Division.
History
The team was formed in 2013 by Merseyrail in partnership with Bootle FC. They started playing in the Liverpool FA League and quickly established themselves as a force in the competition. In 2014/15, they were promoted to the North West Regional League.
The team has continued to progress in recent years and in 2022/23, they were crowned champions of the North West Women's Regional Premier Division. This means that they will be playing in the FA Women's National League Division One North next season, which is the fourth tier of English women's football.
