MIDAS '19 Football Academy
Midas Football Academy is a football academy based in Lagos, Nigeria. It was founded in 2006 with the goal of discovering and developing young soccer talents in Nigeria and Africa.
The academy is affiliated with the Nigeria Football Federation and Lagos state Football Association. It has a network of international football clubs and football management organizations around the world, which helps it to provide its players with opportunities to showcase their talents to coaches, agents, and scouts from all over the world.
Achievements
- Midas Football Academy has produced several players who have gone on to play professionally in Nigeria and abroad.
- In 2019, the academy's U-17 team won the Lagos State Football Association Cup.
- In 2020, the academy's U-19 team finished as runners-up in the Nigeria National Youth League.
Current Team
The current MIDAS '19 team is made up of players aged 18 to 20 years old. The team is coached by Bayon Learashi, who is a former professional footballer.
The team's current captain is Nuru Abdullahi, who is a striker. Other key players in the team include Ajayi Ogunsanya, Daylight Amoo, and Abraham Izuchukwu.
