Middlesbrough Reserves
Middlesbrough Reserves are the under-23 development squad of Middlesbrough Football Club. They compete in Division 2 of the Premier League 2, the second tier of the English football league system for under-23 teams.
The team was founded in 1998 and has been a founding member of the Premier League 2 since its inception in 2012. They have also competed in the EFL Trophy during the 2016–17, 2017–18 and 2018–19 seasons alongside 15 other academies that held Category 1 status.
The team's home ground is Rockliffe Park, the training ground of Middlesbrough Football Club. The current manager of the team is Tony Mowbray.
