Morecambe FC Women is a women's football team based in Morecambe, Lancashire, England. The team was founded in 2005 as Lancaster & Morecambe Ladies FC, and was renamed Morecambe FC Women in 2022. The team currently plays in the North West Women's Regional Football League Division One, the sixth tier of English football.
History
Morecambe FC Women was founded in 2005 by Sophie Fish, who wanted to provide opportunities for local girls to play football. The team initially played in the Lancaster & District Women's League, before moving up to the North West Women's Regional Football League in 2009.
The team has enjoyed some success in recent years, winning the North West Women's Regional Football League Division Two title in 2017 and 2018. They also reached the final of the Lancashire FA Women's Challenge Trophy in 2019.
