Ofek Tel Aviv Football Club is an Israeli football club based in Tel Aviv. The club was founded in 1946 and currently competes in Liga Leumit, the second tier of Israeli football.
History
Ofek Tel Aviv was founded in 1946 by a group of Jewish immigrants from Poland. The club's name means "dawn" in Hebrew. Ofek Tel Aviv played in the top flight of Israeli football for the first time in the 1955-56 season. The club won its first and only championship in the 1966-67 season. Ofek Tel Aviv has also won the State Cup twice, in 1967 and 1990.
Ofek Tel Aviv has had a number of famous players in its history, including Avi Cohen, Ronny Rosenthal, and Eyal Berkovic.
