History
Portlethen SC United were founded in 1992 by a group of local footballers. They started out playing in the Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association Division 4, and quickly progressed through the leagues. In 2005, they won promotion to the Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Association Division 1. They have remained in this division ever since.
