Raju Football Team is a Bangladeshi football club based in Tongi, Gazipur. The club was founded in 1970 and currently competes in the Dhaka Premier League, the top division of football in Bangladesh.
The club has won the Dhaka Premier League on five occasions, most recently in 2019. They have also won the Bangladesh Federation Cup on three occasions, most recently in 2018.
History
Raju Football Team was founded in 1970 by a group of friends in Tongi. The club quickly rose through the ranks of Bangladeshi football and won its first Dhaka Premier League title in 1978.
The club went on to win the Dhaka Premier League four more times, in 1982, 1984, 1991, and 2019. They also won the Bangladesh Federation Cup three times, in 1982, 1983, and 2018.
Recent seasons
Raju Football Team has been one of the most consistent clubs in Bangladesh in recent years. They have finished in the top four of the Dhaka Premier League in each of the last five seasons.
The club also reached the final of the Bangladesh Federation Cup in 2021, but lost to Dhaka Abahani Limited.
