Sam Cody Football Team was founded in 2017 by a group of friends who wanted to play competitive football on a regular basis. The team quickly established itself as one of the top 6-a-side teams in the Camberley area, and has won several trophies in recent years.
The team is named after Samuel Cody, a pioneering aviator who was born in Camberley in 1867. Cody is considered to be one of the fathers of British aviation, and he made several important contributions to the development of aircraft.
Current Season
Sam Cody Football Team is currently competing in the Camberley / Farnborough Soccersixes 6aside league. They are currently in second place in the league table, and are in contention for the title.
The team has a strong squad of players, including several internationals. The team's captain is Tom Jones, who has played for Wales at youth level.
