In 2013, SetiapWaktuFC won promotion to the Malaysia Premier League. The team has since competed in the Premier League for eight seasons.

SetiapWaktuFC finished seventh in the Malaysia Premier League in 2021-22. The team has also reached the Malaysia FA Cup semi-finals on two occasions.
