Sky Stars is a Somali football (soccer) team based in Mogadishu. The team was founded in 2005 and currently competes in the Somali Premier League.
History
Sky Stars was founded in 2005 by a group of young Somali football enthusiasts. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Somali football pyramid and won promotion to the Somali Premier League in 2010.
Sky Stars has since become one of the most successful teams in Somalia, winning the Somali Premier League title four times (2012, 2014, 2016, and 2020). The team has also won the Somali Cup twice (2013 and 2016).
Stadium
Sky Stars plays its home matches at the Mogadishu Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 spectators.
