Spartak FC was founded in 1972. The team's first season was in the Harlestone & District Sunday League. The team has since competed in a number of different leagues, including the Northamptonshire Sunday League, the Northants Alliance League, and the United Counties League.
Spartak FC's most successful season was in 2009-10, when they won the Northamptonshire Sunday League Premier Division. The team has also won the Northants Alliance League Cup on two occasions, in 2011-12 and 2017-18.
