The club was founded in 1924 and originally played in the Loughborough & District League. They joined the Leicestershire Senior League in 1979 and have since won the league title on two occasions, in 1987-88 and 2015-16.
The club's home ground is the Sutton Bonington Recreation Ground, which has a capacity of 500.
Recent History
Sutton Bonington finished third in the Everards Brewery Leicestershire Senior League in the 2021-22 season, their highest ever finish in the league. They also reached the final of the Leicestershire Senior Cup, but lost to Anstey Nomads Reserves.
The club's current manager is Stu Brown, who took over in 2019.
