More about the team
The Ship FC was formed in 2007 thanks to the sponsorship of the famous Ship pub in Wandsworth and the club's very own Rob "Abramovich" Smith. The club began playing in the West End (London) A.F.A in the Sunday AM League where they won the league and cup double in the first season in Division One, before finishing runners-up in the Premier Division the next season. 2009/10 saw them move to the Sportsmans' Sunday League, where they finished only 7th in Division Two, before a major squad transformation the next summer saw a much-improved Ship achieve promotion and finish runners-up in the league cup in season 2010/11. Manager Ollie Hurrey handed over the reins at the end of Season 2011/12 after another superb LFA cup run and a 4th place finish in Division One. The Ship then began life in the Sportsmans' Sunday League Premier Division in Season 2012/13.
