Trinity II Football Team

Trinity II Football Team is a men's football team that competes in the Cambridge University Association Football League (CUFA). The team is based at Trinity College, Cambridge, and is one of the oldest and most successful football teams in the university.

History

Trinity II Football Team was founded in 1856, making it one of the oldest football teams in the university. The team has won the CUFA League championship 14 times, more than any other team. Trinity II has also won the CUFA Cup 10 times, and the CUFA Charity Shield 11 times.

  • Arthur Dunn (1864-1937), who played for England and captained the British Olympic team in 1900.
  • Norman Creek (1879-1967), who played for England and captained the British Olympic team in 1908.
  • George Allison (1889-1960), who was manager of Arsenal from 1934 to 1947.
  • Billy Wright (1924-1994), who played for England and captained the team from 1950 to 1959.
  • Geoff Hurst (born 1941), who scored a hat-trick for England in the 1966 World Cup final.
