UMFC Football Team
UMFC, or University Model Football Club, is a football team based in Calicut, India. They were founded in 1991 and play in the Kerala Premier League.
History
UMFC was founded in 1991 by a group of students from the University of Calicut. The team quickly rose through the ranks of Kerala football and won their first Kerala Premier League title in 1996. They have since won the title six more times, most recently in 2022.
UMFC has also represented Kerala in the Indian National Football League on several occasions. They reached the final of the I-League in 2007, but lost to East Bengal.
Stadium
UMFC plays their home games at the Corporation Stadium in Calicut. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 spectators.
