WE Connection FC is a women's football team based in Saint Andrews, Scotland. The team was founded in 2017 by a group of women who wanted to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for female footballers in the town.
The team currently plays in the East of Scotland Women's League, which is the third tier of women's football in Scotland. WE Connection FC has won the league title twice, in 2019 and 2021.
The team is known for its attacking style of play and its commitment to developing young players. WE Connection FC has a strong youth development program that has produced a number of players who have gone on to play for national teams and professional clubs.
History
WE Connection FC was founded in 2017 by a group of women who wanted to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for female footballers in Saint Andrews. The team was initially formed as a social team, but it quickly gained popularity and began to compete in local leagues.
In 2019, WE Connection FC won the East of Scotland Women's League for the first time. The team repeated this achievement in 2021, and it is now considered to be one of the strongest women's football teams in Scotland.
The team has a strong youth development program that has produced a number of players who have gone on to play for national teams and professional clubs. In 2022, WE Connection FC's under-17 team won the Scottish Cup.
