Willowbank YC FC was founded in 1969 by a group of local men who wanted to provide a footballing outlet for young people in the area. The club initially played in the Belfast and District League, before joining the Northern Amateur Football League in 1976.
The club has enjoyed some success in recent years, winning the NAFL Intermediate Cup in 2017 and the Steel & Sons Cup in 2022.
