WWFC Whirlwinds is a football team based in Bermondsey and Old Southwark, London. The club was founded in 1946 and currently plays in the South London Football League.
History
WWFC Whirlwinds was founded in 1946 by a group of friends who wanted to play football in the area. The club initially played in local leagues, but in 1972 they joined the South London Football League. Whirlwinds have won the league championship on five occasions, most recently in 2019.
The club has also had success in cup competitions, winning the Surrey Senior Cup in 1987 and the London Senior Cup in 2018.
Ground
WWFC Whirlwinds play their home games at St. James's Park, Bermondsey. The ground has a capacity of 2,000 spectators.
