Adamstown were founded in 1998 by a group of friends who wanted to play football together. They started out in the lowest division of the Tallaght Central LEA and quickly progressed through the ranks.
In 2005, Adamstown won the Tallaght Central LEA Premier Division for the first time. They have since won the league a further four times, in 2007, 2010, 2012, and 2015.
