The Drogheda Emerging Talent Programme (ETP) is a grassroots football team based in Drogheda, Louth, Ireland. It was founded in 2008 and is open to boys and girls of all ages. The ETP aims to provide a high-quality football education for its players, with the goal of developing them into talented footballers who can progress to play at the highest level.
History
- The ETP was founded in 2008 by Liam Callan, who was the manager of Drogheda United's under-19 team at the time.
- The ETP's first season was a success, with the team winning the Leinster League and the Kennedy Cup.
- The ETP has continued to be successful in recent years, winning the Kennedy Cup again in 2017 and 2023.
- The ETP has also produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professionally, including Darragh Burns, who currently plays for Bohemians in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
