History
The Dugongs were originally formed as a social club in 1972. The club entered its first competitive season in 1973, competing in the Sunshine Coast District League. The Dugongs won their first premiership in 1975.
The Dugongs joined the Sunshine Coast Premier League in 1996. The club has won the Premier League championship on four occasions, in 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2017.
