The Ambassador Evesham Football League was founded in 1974 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
The league is named after the Ambassador Hotel, which was the headquarters of the league for many years. The hotel is no longer in operation, but the league has retained the name.
