Introduction
The Dublin District Schoolboys League (DDSL) is an amateur football league for boys and girls in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1954 and is the largest amateur football league in Ireland.
The DDSL has over 400 affiliated clubs and over 20,000 registered players. The league runs competitions for boys and girls from Under-8 to Under-18 level.

The DDSL is a member of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and its competitions are sanctioned by the FAI.

History

The DDSL was founded in 1954 by a group of schoolmasters who wanted to provide a competitive footballing outlet for their pupils. The league started with just 12 clubs and 100 players.
The DDSL has grown steadily over the years and now has over 400 affiliated clubs and over 20,000 registered players. The league has also expanded its competitions to include girls' football.

The DDSL has produced many talented players over the years, including Republic of Ireland internationals Robbie Keane, Damien Duff, and Stephen Ward.
Competitions
The DDSL runs competitions for boys and girls from Under-8 to Under-18 level. The competitions are divided into divisions based on the age and ability of the players.

The DDSL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Kennedy Cup, the O'Neill Cup, and the Umbro Cup. The Kennedy Cup is the premier cup competition for Under-14 boys in Ireland.
The DDSL also runs a number of leagues for adult players. The most popular league is the DDSL Sunday League.
