Kent Walking Football League

The competition is organised on an East and West basis, giving clubs and players a structure that reflects the county’s geography. Current teams include sides from places such as Bexley, Chatham, Aylesford, Herne Bay, Canterbury, Margate, Ramsgate and Whitstable, although team entries can change from season to season.

Age-group football

The league’s current competition programme includes separate 50+ and 60+ sections. This age-group approach is a defining part of the league: teams compete within the appropriate bracket rather than in a single open-age division. The East and West sections allow the league to run localised competition across Kent while bringing together a broad range of walking-football sides.

Walking football retains the competitive structure of league football but is designed around the walking version of the game. It can therefore suit players who want organised matches in later life or after stepping away from the running game.
