The Manchester Women’s Flexi-League is a grassroots competition for women in Greater Manchester. It is listed by Manchester FA as a member league and offers a flexible route into organised adult football.
The league was created for women who want to play competitive matches without the regular weekly commitment of a conventional Sunday league. Its established format is 9v9, with teams playing approximately once a fortnight on a mutually suitable day. This accommodates players balancing football with work, family and other commitments.
The competition includes teams from across Greater Manchester and neighbouring communities. It is distinct from a youth league or a traditional weekly open-age programme, providing a different way for adult women’s teams to take part in local football.
