Newport And District Junior Youth Football League
The Newport And District Junior Youth Football League (NDJYFL) is an amateur football league for children and young people in the Newport area of South East Wales.
The NDJYFL was founded in 1964 and currently has over 100 member clubs. The league caters for children from Under-7s to Under-18s and offers both mini and competitive football.
The NDJYFL's mini football program is designed to introduce children to the game of football in a fun and enjoyable way. The program uses small-sided games and modified rules to make the game more accessible to younger players.
The mini football season runs from September to April and each team plays a round-robin format. The top teams at the end of the season qualify for a playoff competition.
The NDJYFL's competitive football program is designed to provide older players with a more challenging and competitive playing environment. The program uses full-size pitches and 11 players on each team.
The competitive football season runs from September to April and each team plays a league and cup competition. The top teams at the end of the season qualify for promotion to a higher division.
