Introduction
Oost 4D is an amateur football league in the Netherlands. It is a part of the KNVB, the Royal Dutch Football Association. The league is based in the Oost district of Amsterdam.
The league was founded in 1970. It currently has 18 teams. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Oost 3D league. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Oost 5D league.
History
Oost 4D has been won by a number of teams over the years. The most successful team is DWV, which has won the league 10 times. Other successful teams include De Dijk, SVA, and BVC.
The league has also produced a number of professional footballers. Some of the most notable players to have come through Oost 4D include Rafael van der Vaart, Edgar Davids, and Wesley Sneijder.
Current season
The current season of Oost 4D is underway. The top two teams at the end of the season will be promoted to Oost 3D. The bottom two teams will be relegated to Oost 5D.
