Youth football across York and district
The York & District Youth Football League organises grassroots youth football in York and the surrounding district. It was formed for the 2020–21 season through the amalgamation of the York Minor League and the York & Ryedale Mitchell Sports Football League.

Development-focused younger football
For under-7 to under-11 age groups, the league treats football as non-competitive development football. Its guidance asks clubs and families not to publish results or grading tables for these age groups.
