Boythorpe and Dronfield Miners met for the second time in five days with the blues determined to make ammends for the home defeat. Things didnt start well as Boythorpe only had 9 men take to the field for the first 8 mins due to Bonson and Wright being held up on the way to the game  A long throw almost caught out Potter as he fumbled the ball but caught at the second attempt. Boythorpe went close on 15 mins as a free kick from half way by Paul Walton was just headed wide by Goodwin.

Boythorpe gained the lead they deserved after 23 mins, Widerman weaved his way into the hosts 18 yard box taking 4 defenders with him, they struggled to take the ball off him and eventually a rash challenge upended the gifted front man. LEE WRIGHT took control of the penalty by smashing it past the diving keeper. They nearly added to the lead 2 mins later, Bonsons cross was headed for a corner and the keeper then fumbled the corner before it was hoofed away, Dronfield picked up a yellow card as a midfielder said one thing too many to the referee.

Dronfield pulled the scores level, Bonson was slow coming out after tracking back and the striker won the ball, the luck was with him and the ball deflected off him past the unlucky Potter. Boythorpe had a mad 5 minutes at this point and went behind on 37 when the striker profited from a 1 on 1 with Potter. Boythorpe almost hit the self destruct button on 42 mins, a dreadfully short ball back to Potter, but the striker shot wide. HALF TIME Dronfield Miners...2 Boythorpe..1

The madness contiued straight from the kick off when a throw was not dealt with and the shot bobbled wide. Boythorpe snapped back into life when a flick on from Goodwin was just too fast for Widerman and the ball wet for a goalkick, 2 mins later Wright picked out Lee Walton whos shot was well saved, and on 54 mins a smart cross from Bonson just avoided Wright who was well placed.

On the hour Boythorpe got the equaliser the hard work deserved Wright powered up the right wing and cut inside a defender before picking out WIDERMAN across the 6 yard box who slotted the ball home . they almost went further ahead on 68 mins a cross from Walton was smartly pulled down by Bonson but shot wide.

The turning point came on 70 mins, a miners striker was upended in the box, but the penalty was blazed well over after Bonson had put the player off with comments he made earning him a yellow card for his trouble. Boythorpe went further ahead in the 77th min Wright earned the visitors a second penalty of the night twisting and turning in the box before being taken down. PAUL WALTON took control  and although he only took a short run up he coolly slotted the ball home.

On 84 mins Widerman went close with a smart scissor kick just over. Dronfield played thier last card moving the keeper up front  and replacing him in goal. It almost paid off as he got his head to a free kick, but Potter tipped over. Dronfield almost found the net from a corner but it was headed wide with Potter beaten. As Miners pushed everything forward they were caught short at the back when Paul Walton won the ball in midfield and sent WIDERMAN clear and although the keeper saved his first effort, the ball cannoned back off Widermans legs and he ran the ball into the empty net.
