Napits Chesterfield sunday League Division 1

Hasland F.C......5   AFC Whitecotes......3

Key Moments Of Match.

1st Min AFC almost grab the perfect start after just 30 seconds, a ball to the back post sees Mason fluff a great chance allowing the ball to bobble over his foot.

5th Min Mitchell goes desparately close with a perfect curling shot that crashes to safety off the post with the keeper well beaten.

11th Min AFC boss the first period of the game, a ball from Megyesi sees Lytham slip past his marker but the ball bobbles and his shot is weak.

14th Min Haslands first real chance sees a shot go woefully wide of the mark.

16th Min GOAL !! AFC can feel justifyably hard done by when Bettney is adjudged to have handled the ball despite his arms being by his side and the Referee looking through a crowded 6 yard box.

32nd Min GOAL !! AFC grab the goal thier pressure deserved. Bettney pings a free kick from his own half that is brilliantly taken down by MASON who then smashes his shot home.

34th Min GOAL !! Again a slip at the back as AFC hold the ball too long, Bettney is robbed and Hasland slip the ball past Wells for 2-1.

37th Min A linesmans flag halts Mitchell as he collects A FINE THROUGH BALL.

38th Min Hasland go close again after a defence splitting pass, But the shot is fizzed wide of the goal.

43rd Min As half time nears Hasland fizz a shot across goal that beats everybody in the box and goes harmlessly wide.

HALF TIME   Hasland F.C......2   AFC Whitecotes......1   No Changes At Half Time.

47th Min Wells pulls off a fine save as Hasland start the 2nd half the stronger.

52nd Min Wells again with a superb tip over managing to tip the ball over whilst reaching backwards.

54th Min GOAL !! Hasland grab first goal of 2nd Half, a free kick to the back post is smuggled in past Wells.

58th Min GOAL !! Hasland get a firm grip on the game as AFC lose thier way, 2 goals in a few minutes is harsh on the Divisions new boys.

65th Min Mitchell is left with a gash to his leg after 2 horrific tackles in as many minutes recieve just a free kick.

67th Min Mitchell seems to be auditioning for the Next FIFA computer game as he goes on a mazy skilfull run, twisting and Cruyff turning past a number of Hasland players leaving them bemused and in his wake.

70th Min The battle battered Mitchell leaves the field to make way for Widerman.

72nd Min GOAL !! Frustration is begining to set in as AFC seem not to be getting the rub of the green, slack defending costs again as Hasland have a spare man at the back post to nod the ball home.

75th Min GOAL !! Spencers mazy run seems to come to nothing until he is unceremoniously tripped out wide BETTNEY crashes the direct free kick home off the underside of the bar from 30 yards out.

85th Min GOAL !! Abit of too much too late for AFC, Mason picks the ball up on the edge of his own box and bursts past a number of Hasland players running 2 thirds of the pitch before splitting the hosts defence for WIDERMAN to latch onto the ball and fire home.

89th Min The FINAL INSULT for AFC as Bettney is upended in the box the penalty claims are odly waved away and a melee in the box ends with a drop ball and the final whistle.

FULL TIME   Hasland F.C.....5   AFC Whitecotes.....3   Not the way AFC would have liked to have lost the proud unbeaten record, but thats the way it goes and a number of players can be happy with the way they played. MOTM Megyesi was again a tower of strength at the back and has taken the Captains responsibillity well. A re-arranged game against Brampton Rovers faces AFC this weekend and a chance for them to get back amongst the points against former short term signing Josh Aitkin who was with us briefly at start of the season.
