Another clean sheet

Memories of the 10-3 victory at Ullathorne earlier in the season were a distant memory but avoiding complacency would be important to ensure a new winning run was extended.

There would be little chance of repeating the scale of victory as ARYPT were a far tighter unit defensively this time around.  Affinity had most of the play in both halves and were rarely troubled defensively.

Affinity didn't have to wait long for the first goal scored by Mike C after a fine pass across the penalty area from Ian. Making good use of the space down both wings Affinity created a number of further chances and added a second minutes before half time with Jamie finishing well after fine work on the wing from Luke.  An injury to Steve M ended the half on a worrying note for Affinity.

The second half saw ARYPT more on the front foot but without any reward for their endeavor. Steve M sensibly decided to rest his ankle leaving Steve G and Josh S to sure up the defence for the rest of the game. Lee replaced Steve for his first game since November and it wasn’t long before he made space for himself and ended the game as a contest with the third goal.

This was a solid team performance building on the cup win the previous week. Man of the match goes to Luke with a fine contribution down the left.
