Basingstoke Town FC welcomed AFC Totton to the Stoneham Lane Football Complex 1G on 21 March 2026 for a league home match in a seven-a-side format, kicking off at 2:00pm. The encounter lasted 51 minutes plus added time, with Basingstoke Town emerging emphatically victorious by three goals to nil.

Basingstoke Town lined up in a 2-3-1 formation, deploying two central defenders, three midfielders across the left, centre and right, and a lone striker leading the line. Elliot Munt guarded the goal, supported at the back by central defenders Mo Kourouma and Albert Ingram. The midfield trio consisted of Jasper Crane on the left, Harry Lincoln centrally, and Louie Vincent on the right, tasked with both defensive duties and supplying the attack. Up front, Blake Munt spearheaded the offensive efforts. Cameron Barr was named as the substitute for the match.

The game began with an early tactical switch as Cameron Barr replaced central midfielder Harry Lincoln in the 10th minute, signalling a shift in midfield dynamics. Shortly after, at the 18-minute mark, Harry Lincoln returned to the field, this time substituting for central defender Albert Ingram, indicating a flexible approach to defensive and midfield roles.

Basingstoke Town broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when striker Blake Munt capitalised on a precise assist from right midfielder Louie Vincent, slotting home to give the hosts the lead. Just two minutes later, the visitors compounded their woes with an own goal, handing Basingstoke Town a comfortable two-goal cushion before the half-time whistle at 25.5 minutes.

The second half saw further adjustments as Albert Ingram re-entered the fray in defence, replacing Mo Kourouma in the 28th minute. The fluidity of Basingstoke’s lineup continued with Mo Kourouma returning to the pitch in place of striker Blake Munt at 35 minutes, before Blake Munt was reintroduced for left midfielder Jasper Crane four minutes later. Unfortunately for Basingstoke, Jasper Crane was forced off due to injury in the 42nd minute, with Mo Kourouma stepping back into midfield duties.

Basingstoke Town extended their lead in the 43rd minute when Blake Munt once again found the net, this time assisted by substitute Cameron Barr, cementing a commanding 3-0 advantage. The final substitution came in the 46th minute as Mo Kourouma replaced right midfielder Louie Vincent, rounding off a match characterised by tactical flexibility and effective squad rotation.

Throughout the contest, Mo Kourouma’s versatility and composure stood out, earning him the player of the match accolade. Basingstoke Town’s disciplined defensive structure and clinical finishing ensured a comprehensive victory over AFC Totton in this seven-a-side league fixture.
