Away league match played on 15 February 2015.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Despite having 80% possesion and dictacting play for long periods a touthless beacy side fell to a 1-0 away defeat to mid table Wycombe marsh. Credit to our opposition who hung in the game at times, well marshalled by centre backs 'charlie' & craig skitt were excellent on the day.

A game played on a bog of a pitch at the back of the rye, a real contrast to some of the decent pitch we have played on round the otherside, not that its an excuse as both teams had to deal with the same conditions. From the off we looked the stronger side and a few minutes in a Richard davies header came crashing back of the crossbar with the keeper well beaten, the rebound fell to Piercey who could not direct his header goalwards, this early chanced summed up what was to be a fruastrating day. The first half continued with us dominating possesion, with marsh relying on a long balls played towards their lone striker Vaughan, it has to be said gunnell and bumpstead will have few easier days and dealt with the threat with consumate ease. As the half progressed the negativity amongst individuals crept into our game, rather than work together as a team we have spent the last couple of games trying to destroy eachothers confidence, with every mis placed pass saw peoples fruastration grow. No surprise at half time we came in all square at 0-0.

Second half began with no subs, and again we were dominating possesion but our lack of quality in the final third was evident for all too see, i cannot remember a good chance for either side in the opening 15 minutes of second half, we then won a free kick on the half way line, the ball was clipped into the wycombe marsh area only to cleared with ease, following a long ball clear down the left hand side, the marsh number 10, got free and with keeper summers in no mans land managed to lob him from 35 yards, a well taken goal however much against the run of play. Gunnell almost immediatly made a change replacing top scorer ryan coker with Javi rodgriguez, que a dissapoining reaction and one that will not be tolerated in coming weeks. A further double sub was made some 15 minutes later Wilkinson and Ebberson replaced by Roberts and wingfield. We continued to huff and puff, still in control of the game, with bumpstead heading wide when well placed with 10 minutes to go, a couple of minutes later a O'Connor cross found 4 unmarked beacy players, although not one of them could connect with the goal at their mercy. The final chance came when davies got in on the angle and hit the post, only for the ball to bounce back out, summing up our day. Full time 0-1 and a biitter dent to our chances of winning the title. Disappointing to see both Coker and O'connor leave the ground before team talk had been done at the end, understand both players were fruastrated with todays events and have since apologised.

Effort was there from all today, however Not good enough as an attacking force today, too much negativiey from players as a hole. We need to get back to the attitude we showed for eachother in the Trix games, and results will come again.

Both centre backs were excellent today, Mark bumpstead edges man of the match for a solid performance.
