Rovers had players Ryan Hilton,Kelvin House,Brian Parr away for this game.

And was still missing long term injured player Adam beeches & Adie Reid

But welcomed back 2 big players Connor Naish & Adam Battimelli

Rovers had some bad new before the game that CB Pickett will be out for upto 8 weeks as well.

Rovers started the game well playing some lovely football witch they been trying to do all season

CM Dale Beeches started the game at RB and was outstanding all game he was involved in the

build up to the first goal.

It came from a good move down the right hand side where the ball ended up with RM Matt Hall who

Pulled the ball back to Lewis Woodgates who then played a lovely ball

In behind the back 4 for THOMPSON to run onto then place it into the bottom corner.

Thompson went to celebrated his goal with hall at this point CM C.Naish was running the show

With his passing and driving with the ball

Backed up from hard working midfielders L.Naish & Woodgates.

The second was a lovely goal to watch as the ball started at the LB went round the back 4 into

The midfield and a great ball though the back 4 found THOMPSON to score his second with a calm finish

1 on 1 With the GK.

The 3rd was scored by captain Liam Naish

It was a good little finish by the captain who doesn't really get many goals

Assisted by Thompson .

It was a good half of football the best all season by rovers

HT

2nd HALF

2nd half Rovers went looking for a 4th goal and won a corner witch the bugle broke away on a good

Attack and smash the ball in the net to make it 3-1 rover still looked ok with a 2 goal lead but

3 minutes later a mix up at the back for Rovers and a poor header back to the GK from CB Dom bool

Let the bugle in 1 on 1 and made it 3-2 at this point the bugle had rovers on the back foot

And looked like the only team that was going to score again.

With 20 minutes to go the game was tight end to end Fryer had a good chance 1 on 1 with GK

And the GK made a save. Liam Naish had a shoot that went over as well

The front 3 of

Thompson Fryer & Lemonious was finding it hard to break though the back four of the bugle.

But with 10 mins left captain Liam Naish got injured in a 50/50 tackle in the middle of the park and was replaced by

Chris Cordery

The armband went to CB Battimelli who was having a good game back in the back 4.

A free kick was given on the right hand side of rovers half

The ball was whipped in and the bugle CB flicked the ball on from 12 yards it was going in the bottom corner

But a world class save from new GK Mike Rundle kept the game at 3-2

Rovers broke away 2 mins later when LB Lawrence broke forward and had a shot witch was saved by the

gk but Cordery followed the ball up pulled it back to Lawrence again to shoot but squared it to Thompson at the back

Stick to tap in for his hatrick Thompson was happy about the goal as he was getting angry with himsef

Because he hadn't got his 3rd goal.

The 5th goal was a corner on the right hand side taken by Cordery on his right foot and put between the 6 yard box

& the penalty spot thompsom ran in and powered above the defender had a great header

Witch left the Goalkeeper with no chance to make it 5-2 and Thompson had 4 goals and the MOTM

Now onto the next league match away to East Reading Royals at Palmer park 10:30KO
