Away league match played on 17 April 2011.
Kicked off at 1:20 PM

Now its either the sun, hot weather, or thats its coming to the end of the season, but some how, Tigers do not like the favourable weather, and for two parts of this game, we shrivelled into our shell and got comprehensively beaten in the latter part of this match.

8 in the squad today, Kai just turning up on time to avoid having no substitute, which on a very warm day, was needed, to give hard working players a rest. Hard work indeed, but we started the game against a very good Alsager team, brightly.

Bryan to Matthew, back to Bryan, shot wide, a good beginning, at the other end a smart save by Kai at the feet of an on rushing attacker, the midfield of Bryan, Ben and Matthew were really working well, Max again was passing at all opportunity. Matthew to Ben, to Bryan, a shot well saved, we were looking very good, at the back, Mark was solid, never missed a ball and Lol kept the line tight.

We were well on top but in the 10th minute Lol got tackled on the edge of the box and a low shot beat Kai, 0 - 1, undeserved, but that's football. Straight up the other end and Max's corner saw Ben hit wide. End of first period, 0- 1, all to play for.

2nd period, and we wanted to try and keep the shape, so a change at the Back to allow Sam to get on, Lol coming off and Sam sitting as last man, but after 14 minutes, it seemed to be possibly not the best decision as unmarked in the box, 0 -2 to Alsager. We then came under severe pressure as Mark had to defend 2 corners in succession, but the pressure told as an easy tap in for 0 - 3. At this point some players were showing there frustration whilst some wanted to keep going, this is something as a team we need to not fall into, and to be fair, its not often we let our emotions boil over, however we did loose our concentration which hampered us in trying to get back into it.

Third period, Max off, Sam up front. We started very well, Bryan a great run and hard shot, just wide, then Matthew, keeper saved. In the 26th minute a slight reward, Mark played a lovely pass down the left, Matthew skipped past his man, and bang, 1 - 3, it looked like game back on.

However, a minute later at our end, a poor kick from Kai saw an opportunist strike back at the goal by an Alsager player, and it was 1 - 4. Tiring in the sun it soon became 1 - 5 as simple passing from our opposition carved straight through us.

With two minutes left, the'coup de grace' was administered with a scrambled low shot into the corner, heads had dropped by now and we had lost our way, which was disapointing.

Two weeks off now, so lets come back for our last ever game on this pitch, and make it a winning one, a happy one, and lets show that the work rate from ALL the squad is there as we start to look forward to the next season and a different way all together, should be very interesting and exciting indeed!

many thanks for your unquestionable support guys, thank you
