Home other match played on 15 February 2009.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

After experimentation the week before this week the Tigers were back to their familiar lineup. Aware of the potential threat of the opposition the formation reflected strength and respect.

The game began well with the midfield closing and chasing down well, chances once again presented themselves to Torres but the Jaguars keeper made three fine saves in the first 5 minutes before Torres exchanged well with Chev Tenko down the right to bypass the defense before driving a low shot past the keeper.

Jaguars were trying a passing game but looked a little shaky, something the Tigers exploited by chasing them down. More chances fell to the Tigers before Torrres ran down the right side and pulled a great ball back into the box from te bye line, Gerrrarrd could do no more than stab it home to round off a good all round passing move.

During all this time the Tigers defense was rarely troubled, however when they were Rayna and Babbell coped well, with Babbell coping especially well with his marking duties. De Sar remained in touch despite the action being largely in the other half.

The second period brought the introductions of Sam Samba and Lol Viddic, down the left and at the back respectively, for Rayna and Chev Tenko. Jaguars to their credit continued the passing tactic but were really playing too deep in their own half. With Gerrarrd moving to the right Tigers began fast and immediately added to the tally, dispossessing the Nantwich defense before Gerrarrd lifted the ball high into the net to make it 3 nil.

The half continued in much the same way as the first, with Chev Tenko replacing Gerrrard mid way through the second period. A neat move down the left saw Samba sam slip a pass to Torrres, a fake shot rounded the defender and another simple finish made it 4. Moments later Torrres chased down the defender, and sloted home from a tight angle on the left to make it five and complete his hat-trick, though his celebration was probably best placed on 'strictly come dancing'.....

Meanwhile De Sar, Lol Viddic and Babbell were again rarely troubled but dealt with whatever was presented with pace and power.

The third period saw the Tigers change things to reflect the game. Torrres and Babbell took the bench and Gerrarrd moved into goal. De Sar and Rayna marshalled the midfield with Lol given the defensive duties. Nantwich came out with a renewed resiliance, De Sar chased well but occasionally pushed too far leaving the midfield a little under protected, rayna had an effort saved well by the keeper and Sam Samba also had a opportunity to score but pulled his shot wide. Chev tenko worked hard down the right, lots of skill and effort and a couple of nice runs down the line, Tenko just failed to get a clear shot on goal.

Midway into the third period Nantwich rounded Samba to slot home their onlygoal of the game, really from their first clear shot of the game. Babbell and Torrres were introduced back for the final couple of minutes with Babbell producing a fine save from the keeper.

Time was called, with the Tigers having done everything that was asked of them it was a pleasure to watch, but we still have lots to do!
