Home league match played on 18 October 2009.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

On a crisp autumnal afternoon, and with a depleted squad hit by a mystery sickness bug, the Tigers played a cracking game of football and dominated the game throughout, and in the opinion of the author, were unlucky not to take a deserved victory.

It was always going to be tough, playing for the first time with no substitutes and with fitness levels having been an issue in our previous games, but credit to the team, they kept it together.  Had the best chances of the game not fallen in the last few minutes when we were unable to put any power on the shots due to fatigue, both Bryan and Evel were unlucky not to score.

The team spirit was inspiring, and the link up play between Evel, Bryan, and Owen across the breadth of the pitch was perfection when going forward.  Mark, Lol, and Jack defensively played a faultless game, pushing the ball out of play when necessary, and there distribution and link up play with the midfield and forward players was good to see.  Every time we broke from defence we looked dangerous, we moved with good pace, tight ball control, and for the first time I even heard the players shouting and communicating to each other on the pitch.  Charl in goal had very little to do, but when called upon made a couple of great saves and was able to clear the ball forward allowing our front line to break.

All in all it was a fantastic performance and the whole team deservedly were awarded MOM honours.  The army of supporters played their part too, offering encouragement to their weary warriors in the latter stages of the game as they clearly were very tired, but they just kept running!

Well done Tigers!!!
