Home league match played on 24 April 2012.
Kicked off at 6:30 PM

our last game, a warm Tuesday night, and an evenly contested game against Crewe Panthers, who could not catch us in the table.

a near full squad, but tired legs, and we paid the price in the second half when dispite good defending throughout the game, we allowed a close range heaer, and a side footed goal, to bring us down. We lost a hard fought game 2 - 0, but we were not out played, just unfortunate. So the season ends with having won more than we lost, and a respectable mid table position.

Here is my own personal summary of our player performance for this season

Bryan Oakley, getting taller!, strong confident goalkeeper and good to call out field when required, not afraid to stick his head where it hurts,  has more than played his part for the team.

Alex Delay, Solid, strong, no nonsense in the tackle, a superb season and has come on leaps and bounds, has saved many a goal with his last tackle.

Lol muirhead, a brilliant thinker, calm on the ball, hard tackle, and passing and running from the back has been a joy to watch

Ben Haworth, midfield general, full of energy, vision and unselfishness passing has contributed to many a goal this season, consistently performs.

Alex Hurlstone, joined in the season, boundless amounts of energy, always plays with a smile on his face, hope he has enjoyed his first season

Ben Hinbest, goes about his buisness quietly, but never lets anyone down, tough and stands up to anything thrown at him, a hard worker for the team.

Mark Dawson, has to have the strongest left foot in the squad, has put that to use on many occassions, and has been so unfortunate in front of goal, also a hard player to get round, will probably score the goal of the century when it comes!

Matthew Coburn, stamina a plenty, right foot midfield / winger and has put in numerous consistent performances, score of some great goals, and has assisted in as many others.

Sam Samba, Betleys own fox in the box, pops up at the right time, in the right place and sticks one in! amazes all with his strength dispaite his size and has helped the team by playing in numerous positions

Max macauley, one of the most unselfish passers of the ball, always looks to find his team mates with a pass, and has been rewarded this year with a bag full of goals, another left foot asset.

Arron Kelly, possible olympic running champion in the future! plays as good on either wing, or mid field, has cliam some great individual goals this year, and assisted in many, another smiling asassin!

Lyndon Oakley, Andrew Haworth, full of talk, shouting, balling, hair loss, going grey, getting nervous dispositions, But wouldnt have it any other way!!! so enjoy the managing of a great bunch of individuals and team players!

thanks to ALL our un wavering support every game , rain or shine, training, taxi -ing, you never fail, love to you all

Lyndon
