Away league match played on 10 March 2012.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Blackham & Ashurst Saracens hit the cruise control button from the off versus high brooms with a controlled & strong performance.

With a couple of men missing from last week’s dogged win v woodlands – out went the Leopard (apparently he was required to do a show and tell on Big cats at Drusilla’s)

& Hamish (who was on a tour with his newly formed boy band called Mishchief)  in came Pat Lawrence & Ghandi.  Huffers moving from Defence to Centre Mid & bowles moving back to his preferred position to centre back to continue his strong partnership with the gentle giant.

B & A started brightly – using both wings to full effect & the strikers causing problems running in the holes.

It didn’t take us long to take the lead – Mark skinned the full back – whipped a ball across the area, which bert flicked on to Hobbit who swivelled and found the bottom corner with his left foot from 15 yards.

We kept the pressure on with a few good chances being missed although High Brooms had a good chance to equalise but yet again the Big man in the sticks proved why he is blackhams number 1.

Bert whipped in tantalising cross from a deep angle which was begging to be punished like bayley on a hooker, huffers tried to attack but missed! When up popped bish at the far post to pock it home 2-0 lead.

2 became 3 unlike the famous spice girls hit song, just before half time when Ben Freeman pounced like a tiger on a poor defensive error – he ran from the halfway line, fooled the oncoming keeper with his sex panther eyes and finished coolly in the bottom corner.

The 2nd half was controlled by blackham & in truth we were rarely put under any pressure by High Broom, Jnr was replaced by Zac with Pat going to full Back & Hugo came on for Bert

Zac Effron looked like his old self – sharp & full of belief & got his just rewards with a cheeky Lob from a great long ball from Bowlesy.

Ghost replaced the hard working Mark on the wing.

Then came the goal of the game – spud passed to huffers, who went on a mazy run past 3 defenders before striking the ball into the top corner from 20 yard – what a strike, Take a bow Paul.

Full Time whistle 5-0

We all know what we need to do over the next few weeks – Keep winning & the league is ours.
