TWO QUICK 1ST HALF GOALS KILLS OFF BLUESTONE!!

FARRELL

VAUDREY  STOTT(c)   MCDONOUGH  BURNS

GRAINGER    JOHNSON  PERCY   TABOUN

DOUGLAS     BIRD

VAUDREY WENT BACK TO 4 4 2, AND STARTED HIMSELF FOR THE MISSING STODDS , STOTT WAS PUSHED BACK INTO DEFENCE , BURNS CAME BACK IN AT LEFT BACK FOR A HAYES , MCDONOUGH PLAYED EVEN THOU NOT FULLY FIT AND DOUGLAS CAME BACK INTO THE LINE UP ALONG SIDE BIRD. ON THE DAY BLUESTONE COULDN'T HANDLE THE PHYSICALITY OF NEW INN , OUR TEAM BOTTLED MOST TACKLES AND WE DIDNT LOOK INTRESTED , WE REALLY NEED TO OPEN OUR MOUTHS ALOT MORE WE ARE A VERY QUIET TEAM AND IT WAS LIKE A GRAVEYARD HALF THE TIME WITH NO CRAIC ON THE PITCH.WE STARTED LIVERLY WITH DOUGLAS HOLDING THE BALL UP BRILLIANT LOOKING FOR RUNS DOWN THE CHANNELS AND BIRD STAYING CLOSE WINNING ALOT OF HEADERS AS NEW INN STRUGGED QUITE A BIT WITH THEM IN THE FIRST HALF . DOUGLAS GOT THE BALL DOWN THE AND PUT SOME EARLY LEFT FOOT CROSSES IN WHICH WE NEED TO DO ALOT MORE!! BUT COME OF NOTHING. OUR PASSING AND MOVING WASN'T AS GOOD AS IT NORMALY IS WITH PASSES GOING ASTRAY .  THE STAR OF THE SHOW AND THE BEST PLAYER ON THE PITCH BY A MILE WAS THE YOUNG PACEY LAD FOR NEW INN WHO TOOK HIS TWO QUICK GOALS NEATLY BREAKING THE OFFSIDE TRAP AND OUR DEFENDERS WASN'T TIGHT ENOUGH ON HIM AS HE BROKE FREE AND ROUNDED FARRELL FOR GRAINGER TO NOT GET BACK ON TIME. THE LADS 2ND WAS VERY MUCH THE SAME AGAIN AS BLUESTONE SHOUTED FOR OFFSIDE IVAN PLAYED THE GAME ON AND THE FORWARD GOT HIS SECOND WITH IN 3 MINUTES AND IT LOOKED TO BE ONE OF THEM DAYS THAT WE WERE GUNNA GET SLAUGHTERED. FARRELL SAVED A BIT PRIDE WITH AN AWSOME DOUBLE SAVE THE FIRST EASY ENOUGH AND THE 2ND WAS WORLD CLASS WHICH HE DIDN'T REALLY KNOW ABOUT AS THEIR MIDFILEDER STRUCK THE BALL SWEAT STRAIGHT AT HIM TO TIP IT OVER THE BAR. WE EVENTUALLY SEEN OUT THE HALF AT 2-0 WITH THE SIDE LINE SAYING IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS FULL TIME AS WE CAME OFF THE PITCH , WE KNEW WE DIDN'T WANT TO DO LIKE WE'D DO IN THE OLD DAYS DOWN AT 2-0 JUST LIE DOWN FOR OUR OPPONENTS AS GOAL AFTER GOAL WOULD GO IN SO PRIDE WAS AT STAKE. THE RAIN CAME BEAMING DOWN AS WE TRYED TO GET BACK INTO THE GAME BUT IN ALL TRUTH IT WAS A DULL HALF TO PLAY IN AS NO GOALS CAME . BUT WE DID HAVE THE CHANCES WITH TABOUN HAVING A CLEARANCE OF THE LINE AND A BIRD ONE ON ONE WITH AFINE SAVE AND A HAYES VENOM STRIKE LATE ON . NEW INN WERE HAPPY TO SLOW THE GAME DOWN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BUT AGAIN! FITNESS SHOWED AS OUR TEAM WAS WALKING AROUND THE PITCH LAST HALF AN HOUR . NEW INN TOOK AL THREE POINTS BUT WE WERE REALLY DOWNHEARTED AS WE KNEW WE COULD OF POSSIBLY GETTING SOMETHING OUT OF THE GAME LATE ON..

GAMEPOINTERS - THIER PACEY FORWARDS TWO QUICK GOALS , KARL NOT FULLY FIT IT SHOWED , ALWAYS COMING 2ND IN THE TACKLES , JONNA ONLY PERSON TO GET STUCK IN ,  OUR FITNESS , OUR FRONT 2 IN FIRST HALF WERE GREAT & NO GOALS IN THE 2ND HALF.

SAVE OF THE WEEK - EVERYONE WAS TOTALLY GOBSMACKED AS FARRELL PULLED OFF THAT WORLD CLASS SAVE.
