SPOORS DOUGLAS MCDONOUGH MCDONALD

YOUNG  FARRELL   STOTT(c)  TABOUN

BATES   GRAINGER

MISSING~ JOHNSON AND STODDS

THE 3 EASINGTON BOYS WERE BACK FOR THIS FIXTURE AS STOTT AND FARRELL CAME INTO CENTRE MIDFILED  . TABOUN TOOK HIS PLACE BACK ON THE LEFT AS YOUNG WENT BACK TO THE RIGHT. MCDONALD STARTED AT LEFT BACK FOR MISSING BURNS AS THE DEFENCE STAYED THE SAME AND GRAINGER WENT BACK UPTOPS TO PARTNER BATES.

AFTER SCRAPING A TEAM OUT LAST WEEK THIS MUST OF BEEN A MASSIVE RELEIF FOR THE MANAGERS. WE HAD BACK MAINLY OUR STRONGEST TEAM BAR JOHNSON A WHO NEEDS ANOTHER WEEK WITH HIS BROKEN WRIST AND STODDARD WITH A KNEE INJURY.. FROM START TO FINISH WE DOMINATED THIS GAME EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A DULL ENCOUNTER. THIS GAME COULD OF EASILY NOT OF HAPPEND AS THE REF WAS TO PLEASED WITH THE FEW PUDDLES ON OUR PITCH . IT GOT UNDERWAY WITH AN EARLY TEAM MOVE AS FARRELL WON THE HEADER AS GRAINGER HEADERED THE BALL INTO THE PATH OF BATES AS HE WAS TRIPPED IN THE AREA. DOUGLAS STEPPED UP TO TAKE AS HE BLASTED IT PAST THE UNLUCKY KEEPER. GRAINGER SHOULD OF MADE IT 2 STRAIGHT AFTER AS HE MISSED A ONE ON ONE ONE BUT MCDONALD DONE THE JOB FOR HIM AS BLUESTONE GOT A CORNER FROM SOME DODGEY DEFENDING AS GRAINGER SWUNG THE CORNER FOR MCDONALD TO RISE LIKE A SALMON TO HEAD HOME. SAFC WERE BRAVE AND SHOWED THEY COULD CAUSE DAMAGE ON THE BREAK AS THEY GOT A GOAL BACK WITH A STRIKE FROM A FREEKICK AS HAYES LET THE BALL GO IN THINKING IT WAS GOING WIDE . HALF TIME CAME WITH US WINNING 2-1 AND THE NEXT GOAL WAS VITAL! AND IT WAS BLUESTONE WHO POUNCED FIRST A LONG THROW FROM CENTRE HALF DOUGLAS ONTO STOTT'S HEAD AS THE KEEPER SHOULD OF HAD IT BUT DROPPED IT INTO BATES PATH AS HE BROKE HIS DUCK TO GET HIS FIRST BLUESTONE CAREER GOAL. THE TEAM WANTED MORE GOALS AFTER THIS AS WE WERE 3-1 UP AND MORE GOALS DID HAPPEN WITH THE BEST TEAM MOVE YOU SEE ALL SEASON AS YOUNG LINKED UP DOWN THE RIGHT WITH GRAINGER TO PLAY A ONE -TWO AS HE CUT INSIDE GAVE THE BALL TO BATES AND BATES FEED TABOUN TO SIDEFOOT HOME FOR HIS 7TH GOAL OF THE SEASON. AGAIN TABOUN GOT AT THEIR GINGER RIGHT BACK AS HE FLEW PAST HIM LIKE HE WERNT THERE HE PASTED IT ALONG TO BATES TO GET HIS 2ND SHORTLY AFTER THAT HE WAS SUBBED . MCKENNA CAME ON IN HIS PLACE AS WAS LEATHAL STRAIGHT AWAY AS DOUGLAS PLAYED I MCKENNA IN HE WAS IN FRONT OF GOAL UNMARKED AS HE SMASHED IT UNDER THE KEEPERS ARMS AS THE SCORE WAS GETTING DAFT. MCKENNA THE GOT HIS BRACE WHEN TABOUN AGAIN SHOWED HIS CLASS AS HE PUT THE BALL ON A PLATE TO TAP IN FOR 7-1 . SAFC GOT ANOTHER ONE BACK FOR 7-2 AS BLUESTONE SWICHED OFF AS STEVEY BREWSTER WAS ANGRY ON THE SIDELINE WITH THE SLOPPY DEFENDING.DAVEY STEVENS SHOULD OF MADE 8 BUT HIS HEADER WAS KNOCKED OFF THE LINE .

GAMEPOINTERS- WERN'T THE BEST DISPLAY EVAN AS THE SCORE SAID 7-2 , CONCEEDING 2 GOALS, DEFENDERS ON THE SCORE SHEET , TABOUNS GOAL AWSOME TEAM MOVE , BATES BREAKING DUCK & THE MCKENNA IMPACT!!

PRAISE OF THE WEEK - HAS TOP GO TO SAFC THEY TURN UP WEEK IN WEEK OUT GETTING BEAT SILLY SCORES BUT ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS ENJOY PLAYING FOOTBALL - GREAT STUFF.
