Home league match played on 07 April 2016.

Another good win last night, although this wasn't the strongest ASJS side we've played. Bernie was missing for them up front, and the tricky little fella with the floppy hair hasn't been seen for months either (good). Tyrone was back though, which was great to see - particularly when Andy robbed the ball off him and left him on his 4rse. No need to draft ringers this week as Tyson's return from injury, Richie's return from holiday, Tom's return from his BHS modelling shoot and Mole's return to the surface meant we had 12 on the day. Starting line-up was:

Tyson

Mole / Stu / Molby / Andy

Zamora / Huckerby / Beardsley / Sheedy

Ilyas / Jordan

Latch started on the bench, with Nick and Mole also doing 20 mins sub later on.

We got off to a good start with penty of early pressure. The opener was an oggy after Zamora fizzed the ball in from the right. The second goal was a belter, Huckerby sprayed it wide to me and I made Tyrone look a little silly with a turn down the line (if I do say so myself). I fed it to Jordan, who nutmegged another defender, got to the byeline and squared toTommy Dazzler. He then layed it off smartly for Huckerby on the edge of the box to rocket home a right foot shot off the underside of the bar. Think they might have got one back at that point. Their goal was either Molby's fault or Andy's fault, you'd have to check with them for the details. We got a 3rd before half-time with Latch winding up a big left foot swinger fom the right corner of the area. A decent strike which their keeper palmed but failed to keep out. ASJS got one back after that too, so 3 - 2 at the break. To be fair we had dominated the half but for the last 5 or 10 and the scoreline flattered ASJS.

The second half started a bit tentatively with a fair amount of sloppiness from both sides. It didnt take us long to get back on track though. Jackson Flash went on a barnstorming maruade up the left, beating a couple of players and laying it on a plate, with a fackin bow on it, for our Tommy. Sadly the plate fell to Beardsley's right foot and he missed the target from a few yards out (sorry Tom). Charlie would not have been happy with any of that. Shortly after Ily was called for a dodgy offside when clean through. Undeterred, he duly went on to score two absolute screamers shortly afterwards. The first was a really clean strike, first time, right-footed, from about 22 yards hard and low into the bottom corner. The second was a wallop with his left foot, having out-muscled poor old Tyrone, smashed hard and low into the opposite corner from about 25 yards and on the angle. Two absolute belters, which you would have thought he would have delighted in. Oddly, Ilyas' default celebration is to bow his head, swivel and soberly return to the half way line for KO - sort of like he'd received some very bad news that he needed to think through. 5 - 2 by this point and ASJS were imploding with Leigh (sp?) the chief protagonist in the moan-off.

Two more goals for BOC before full time, Andy nabbing the ball off Tyrone on the left wing (Tyrone on his 4rse etc), five yard pass to me, cross, Latch nods in at back stick. Last one was Latch again (can't really remember it), but with his right foot, and therefore completing his perfect (left, right, head) hat-trick. Well done big un. Toss up between Latch, Ilyas and Dazzler for MOTM, but couldn't see a way to not give to the big fella.

Off to the pub we went, details from PW shortly no doubt, but suffice to say that Stu would have been clearing his google search history this morning.
