Away league match played on 29 September 2012.
Kicked off at 1:30 PM

BBOB went into this game fearing the worse; we only had three players available from the previous week's game, goalkeeper Craig Watson, captain Paul Barton & midfielder Stuart Burgess making his second appearance for the first team. With so many first team regulars unavailable through injury, stag weekends, weddings, holidays & other commitments the remainder of the team consisted of BBOB veterans, second team players and players who had not played at all this season. With the bare eleven and one player on the way BBOB still managed to start the game the strongest, early chances fell to right midfielder Michael (Titch) McMahon and forward Jamie Eade. In the 14th minute centre forward Keith Churchward, suffering from a calf injury, was replaced by Mick Maskell. Immediately after this change BBOB took the lead when a Ryan Satterley corner sailed straight into the top corner. ATS Southern barely had time to regroup before BBOB extended their lead with another a Ryan Satterley corner, fired towards the far post found the head of centre back Paul Thomas who couldn't miss!

Further chances were created as BBOB took control of the game but they let ATS Southern reduce BBOB's lead shortly before half time when a free kick was floated into the BBOB area and an unmarked player headed the ball back across the goal and past the stranded Craig Watson. Half time 2-1.

BBOB started the second half the strongest and were guilty of missing some good chances, they continued to pass the ball well and in the 60th minute were awarded a penalty. Midfielder Rich Houghton, was brought down, centre back Ryan Satterley stepped up to power the penalty into the bottom corner of the ATS goal! Four minutes later another good move found Fletcher Elliott in space with only the keeper to beat, for some reason he decided to double back and pass the ball to striker Jamie Eade, his fierce strike struck a defender's arm on the goal line and another penalty was awarded. Ryan Satterley stepped up again and toe poked his effort in to the top left hand corner of the net to make it 4-1, at this stage only the two centre backs had made the score sheet and one of them had a hat-trick!

The fifth goal came in the 69th minute from a counter attack through the middle of the park which found left back and player-manager Steve Maskell in a forward position, his pin pointed pass sent right winger Mike McMahon (Titch) into the area and his first time shot found the bottom left hand corner of the goal. At this point the game seemed over and the result appeared final, but there was still twenty minutes to play! Eight minutes later another BBOB corner from the prolific (for one day only) Ryan Satterley ricocheted through the ATS back line before finally hitting Rich Houghton's backside and going in! One to savour for Rich there!!

ATS pulled one back shortly after this with a goal straight from the kick off!??

The next ten minutes belonged to striker Jamie Eade who had threatened to score at times earlier in the match, he finally made his breakthrough in the 81st minute after latching on to a Rich Houghton through ball, his fierce low shot blasted off the keeper onto the post and then finally into the goal to make it 7-1. Jamie made it 8-1 in the 85th minute, after some good work from Fletcher Elliott, he managed to lob the keeper from just outside the area, and a minute later he achieved the games second hat-trick (a real one this time!) and BBOB's ninth goal when he found himself unmarked from a ball again from Fletcher Elliott in the area and placed his shot cooly past the stranded keeper.

A great unexpected result for BBOB under what seemed to be difficult circumstances! With the second team winning again and going top of their division this is possibly the strongest BBOB squad that has existed for quite a while!

P.S. Nobody ask Craig Watson about the ATS second goal!
