Home league match played on 12 February 2011.
Kicked off at 1:30 AM

Another strong BBOB performance to extend their unbeaten run to six games and lift them to sixth in the table, surely the BBOB’s are the most improved team in the division this season?

BBOB started the game slowly, but soon adjusted; with their new look central midfield pairing of Josh Staniforth & Steve Maskell, replacing the usual pairing of Chris Thomas & Howard Lloyd (both injured). There was also a return of both central defenders, Adam Leaver & Sam Hamburger to the line up.

In the tenth minute BBOB broke the deadlock with a well worked move between both centre forwards, with Lee (Chief) Madigan setting up Matt Barton to slot his shot past the oncoming Royal Hove keeper. Four minutes later BBOB were further ahead, this time again some clever passing led to a perfect pass to Chief who placed his shot back across goal, hitting the underside of the bar and over the Royal Hove goal line, leaving the keeper rooted to the spot.

Further pressure on the Royal Hove defence continued and after some more close chances (Josh!!!) Dan Shrubb scored his first goal in BBOB colours, after some good passing football down the left hand side, Matt Barton found Dan on the edge of the area, his shot was perfectly placed over the keeper's head into the back of the net, again the keeper didn't have a chance!

The game settled down after this, with BBOB creating further chances and applying plenty of pressure on the Royal Hove defence, the scoreline remained 3-0 at the break.

BBOB found themselves pegged back for most of the early part of the second half, Royal Hove won a string of corners and free kicks but the BBOB stood up well with strong performances from Adam Leaver & Sam Hamberger. However, Royal Hove's pressure on the BBOB finally paid off when a cross from their right hand side found their centre forward unmarked in the BBOB box, his header was perfectly placed into the roof of the net.

Shortly after this Dan Shrubb was replaced by Ben Wheatland at right midfield. Royal were unable to increase their goal tally and created no real chances on the BBOB goal and as the game went on BBOB returned to their first half dominance. In the 80th minute Ben Wheatland found Chief on the edge of the area, he buried his shot with ease into the bottom left hand corner of the opposition's goal to destroy any chances of a Royal Hove comeback!

And with just five minutes to go, left midfielder Ryan Satterly placed his 25 yard free kick beyond the Royal Hove keeper to complete the rout and replicate the same final score that occurred in the last meeting between these two teams!

A deserved win ahead of the cup final (on 2nd March) against Chailey coming up! A real confidence booster! Next up Millhouse at Braypool on Saturday!
