Away league match played on 05 January 2013.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Bramford traveled North to Blaxhall to face Wickham Market Under 18s. Wickham's side included the return of the Crush twins this season and they will always cause a threat throughout the season for any opposition they come up against.

With players being unavaliable for certain reasons: Mark, Iddy, Grant and Pat (Kit was being washed), Bramford traveled with just 12.

Bramford Starting XI: Joel, Gus, Tom, Reece, Alex, James K, James R, Will, Lewie, George and Josh

Bramford started brightly and some neat passing from the back 4 and then a nice ping by Reece saw George keep the ball in play before off loading it to James K down the right hand side before crossing to Josh, who took a touch rounded the goalkeeper and passed into an empty net. 1-0.

Joel was then lucky not to give a penalty away when he went to take the ball close to the byline at the Wickham wingers feet only to take the players legs first before taking the ball.

On 11 minutes again James K picked up the ball on the right handside, before dribbling inside the LB and the CB and shooting hard into the far corner to make it 2-0.

Wickham eased into the game and Joel made 2 smart saves, 1 tipping onto the bar and the other diving to his left to palm away. The defence were playing some nice stuff and the midfield were linking up really well. Lewie was causing the right back some problems, and i'm sure Josh and George would have caused more problems for the defence if the Wickham's lino wasnt so flag happy.

Josh was then booked for kicking the ball away when he had been ruled offside for about the 5th time in 20 minutes.

On 26 minutes Josh and James linked up well to combine for Bramfords 3rd when Josh fired home from distance to make it 3-0.

a few minutes later saw the introduction of Logan as Josh had tweaked his hamstring again and was needing a rest. On 32 minutes George opened his 2013 account when Lewie played a through ball to George, he dribbled inside before shooting across into the far corner to make it 4-0.

Now Wickham had lead 4-0 against Rickinghall in their last time out and ended up bottling it to lose 6-4, I don't think the same would happen this time but the other way round, because just before half time Alex added his 7th of the season. Alex picked the ball up at left back, passed in field to George, and Alex carried on his up field run (almost like when you play fifa and press L1 when you pass), he strolled through the Wickham defence, George played a beautiful through ball and what happened next you would only think Messi could do, but the 6ft 1 Alex through on goal, 20 yards out decided to chip the keeper and with 1 bounce ended up in the back of the net for 5-0.

HALF TIME (5-0)

9 minutes in to the 2nd half James added the 6th and his 2nd of the match when the keeper let the ball squirm underneath his body and into the net 6-0.

3 minutes later and Joel's run without conceding a goal came to an end when the Wickham forward got in behind the back 4 and slotted home past Joel. The run lasted just over 560 minutes, stretching back to the middle of November. 6-1.

George netted his second of the game when Logan played him in and he took no 2nd invitation in the taking the oportunity 7-1.

George added his hat-trick goal when James and him combined to make it 8-1.

Tom Crush went close when he shot from 30 yards but Joel was equal to it.

James claimed his hat-trick when the ball was scrambled across the line to make it 9-1. and then a deflected James shot was later added to make it 10-1.

A sorry morning for the home side as they were taugh a footballing lesson by the league leaders.

Bramford go 9pts clear ahead of Falcons and we play Falcons next week in a massive game at Acton Road, which could see Bramford move 12 points clear.
