The bottom two sides in Division 5 came together both looking for their first win of the season. Both sides seemed to struggle early on as there was no confidence on either side. After 12 minutes the ball broke in the Arms penalty area and it was knocked home to give Wollaston the lead. The Arms relised it wasnt going to be easy and soon had a chance to equilise. Johnno Harrison crossed from the right and Alex Mapp met it on the volley but it flew just over. After 20 minutes Dave Whall smashed a shot at goal but it was deflected just wide. Moments later Johnno put in a great square ball but it was cleared from the 6 yard area. On 34 minutes it was 1-1, Adam Grosvenor crossed the ball, Johnno chested it down and smashed the ball into the far corner. A minutes later and the Arms nearly took the lead when Adam Grosvenors shot crashed back off the cross bar. The pressure was being pumped up and Johnno had a couple of shots saved by the keeper. Right on half time the defence switched off and right from a freekick a Wollaston player moved unmarked and fired home in the 6 yard box.

Halftime Arms 1 - 2 Wollaston Village

It got worse for the Arms and they were 1-3 down after 27 seconds of the second half. A player ducked the bal in the box was not cleared and it was smashed home by the Wollaston player. Even with this step backwards the Arms kept putting the pressure on. Minutes later Alex (Mappy) Mapp had a good shot saved. On 51 minutes a big kick from Keith Roberts in goal had Ben Amos through he side stepped in the box to cooly slip the ball past the keeper. Wollaston were still in the game and drew a good save from Keith Roberts. On 55 minutes Dave Whall made way for James (Jay) Rae. Minutes later Mark Hodgson-Welch cut in on the right wing and his cross was put into the net by a Wollaston defender. On the hour came the goal of the game. Jay drove down the left wing, knocked a cross in for Johnno to head home on the run. The Arms were now unstoppable and a minute later Jay had a shot saved it was cleared Jay picked it up again crossed for Johnno to side foot home. The next minute saw another goal, Justin Bishop tricked his way down the right wing and crossed for Jay to smash home a yard from goal. The Arms had turned a 1-3 deficit, into a 6-3 lead in 11 minutes! Kieran Bridgwater was brought on for Ben Amos after 71 minutes. Justin (Stin) Bishop had a shot which was saved. A minute later Kieran put a corner in and Mappy's header was saved. Seconds later Stin put a header just over. On 76 minutes Kieran slipped the ball over for Johnno, he chested the ball down and smashed the ball in off the bar for his 4th of the game. With 10 minutes left Adam Grosvenors shot was parried out and Kiran smashed the ball home. Adam then fired over and Johnno had a shot saved. With 5 minutes to go Adam slipped a great through ball for Jay to knock past the keeper for number 10. With a few minutes left Johnno was clean through, but managed to clear the bar by a good 30 foot.
