Away league match played on 01 April 2013.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

After a heavy night for several players, its seemed that we did actually have some sober ones.

Match started pretty badly again, i think we can count our blessings that they cant shoot for toffee. A save from Roscoe and some brilliant defending by all 4 of the defenders kept them at bay, JUST! This allowed rowan and troy to start working their magic. With Skip winning some headers in the middle we could actually try play football. Easier said than done on that pitch. Not for passing what so ever. That said, Long ball it is then, Troy out paced their right back to pass across the goal for a nice tap in for Sam. Showing wollaton what we can really do. We could of sailed to half time with the lead, however a 10 minute steak of madness from dunno put the pressure on. As their striker was pulling the trigger, dunno made the decision he was gna miss, so shouted it down his lug hole. Booked for unsporting behaviour wasnt the last of the madness. Their indirect freekick suprisingly didnt hit the target. The management were put under pressure as dunno then gave away another foul. Somehow we made it to half time with 11.

HT 1-0 (Dean on for Dunno)

Second half was pretty similar to the first. We battled on, roscoe fetched the balls and freeman carried on chewing the refs ear off. Ref under the spotlight in the 60th minute as he gave a freekick for a trip which seemed to be outside the box. However the linesman saw something different and made the dicision it was a penalty. The odds of them hitting the target were slim, He struck the ball well, but all also to well to high as it hit the bar and sailed over. Roscoe had no chance if it did go on target. Tackles flying in saw freeman enter the book. After the missed penalty, didnt seem like wollaton were ever going to hit the bj net, until their striker found himself infront of goal, one on one, still managed to scuff it onto the post, however found the back of the net. 1-1! For the first time in the game, we actually put pressure on them like we actually wanted to win. Effort was put in going into the last 30 minutes, so much that sam managed to snap a hoarding after piling into it to keep the ball in. Eventually after several efforts were denied, a goal mouth scramble was turned in by Troy, 2-1! Special mention for some awesome freekicks by liam, that didnt quite find the top corner! Cocky on his last legs hobbled of after 75, good performance to say he had played 265 minutes in 3 days. Although it started to sway our way, the attitude of certain people dampened the spirits. Rare appearances from Bags and Wardy towards the end ment we managed to see the game out, not with ease by far as wollaton finished with florish but couldnt find an equaliser.

2-1 FT

"If we can manage to play that badly and still win, we have got to finish second" said in changing room after the game, says it all! we must improve or changes must be made! personally i dont think anyones position is safe. except troy, or everyone may just give up.

Sam was oppositions man of the match. Brilliant performances from Bikey and Liam beatty, maybe the difference after the 90. Troy clinical wen called upon. 3 points closer to second and allows up to concentrate on the cup semi!
